Our Vicar is The Rev. Pam Higgins. Mother Pam was called to serve as the Vicar of Holy Trinity/La Santísima Trinidad in September of 2005. Since coming to Holy Trinity/La Santísima Trinidad, she has immersed herself in the study of Spanish and has devoured books on multi-cultural ministry paradigms and models for small parishes. She is currently a participant in the Clergy Leadership Project sponsored by Trinity Wall Street.
One of Mother Pam’s great passions is Ministry to Children, especially providing a safe environment for children to explore their relationship with God and to learn about the traditions, sacred stories and liturgies of our Anglican Christianity. Under her leadership, Holy Trinity has recently started offering the Godly Play curriculum to the children of our parish. Additionally, Mother Pam is excited about the opportunities and challenges presented to small parishes such as Holy Trinity to find ways to reach out to the local neighborhood and community as a way of responding to the Christ’s Commandment that “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul and with all your strength, and your neighbor as yourself.”
Prior to her call as Vicar, Mother Pam served at Holy Trinity from 1997 through September of 2004 as our non-stipendiary Associate. Additionally, she previously served as interim Rector at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Livermore, as well as on the Canon Pastor’s staff at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco (1991 -1995). While at Grace Cathedral she was the founding prioress for the Canterbury Way Benedictine Spirituality program. In 1991 she graduated with Distinction from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP) in Berkeley, California.
Mother Pam also currently works as a lawyer for the Regional Center of the East Bay, one of the 21 Regional Centers that have contracts with the State of California to provide services and supports to persons with developmental disabilities, in order to assist them in leading as typical and independent lives as possible. The Regional Center of the East Bay is an organization staffed and fueled by compassionate and caring employees. Mother Pam is delighted when her efforts help to resolve disputes by creating an atmosphere of civility and compassion.
Most recently, Mother Pam has begun to explore Celtic Christianity and is learning to play the harp.

Father Javier, was born in San Pablo of Atenas, Canton San Miguel Province Bolívar-Ecuador on March 24, 1964. He attended primary (elementary) and secondary (high school) in his hometown. He continued his education in the study of Philosophy and Theology at the Major Seminary “San José” in Quito-Ecuador, and at Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, Ecclesiastical Faculty of Philosophy and Theology. He was ordained a priest in the Roman Catholic Church on July 12, 1990.
In 1995 he was received as a priest in the Episcopal Church of Ecuador where he worked and established various congregations. He is married to Laura Dahik and they have a son, Diego, who was born on January 25, 1994. In the year 2000 Fr. Javier was invited by Bishop Benito Juarez to work in the Diocese of Southeast Mexico for two years. Fr. Javier and his family came to the United States in 2002.
Fr. Javier has been working at Holy Trinity/La Santísima Trinidad as Associate Vicar for the Latino Congregation since April, 2003. Fr. Javier enjoys watching his son grow, being involved in his (son’s) education, reading books of spirituality, watching movies, visiting tourist places, listening to classic music and playing with Diego.

Kate serves as the deacon to the Latino, and Anglo Congregations. Kate also serves at The School for Deacons, teaching liturgical music, and practicum, and coordinates the Field Education Program. Kate serves the Episcopal Church nationally, and internationally, having served as President of the North American Association for the Diaconate (NAAD).
Kate is very passionate about Diaconal, and Multi-Ethnic Ministry, seeking justice in the world by serving the poor, and disenfranchised. She brings a diversity of experience to the ministry, and believes that being a deacon is “who” she is. She has served in hospitals, convalescent hospitals, prisons, developmentally disabled facilities, as a marriage, and family therapist, plus doing Mission work in Central/South America. In 2006, Mother Pam, Padre Javier, Kate, and other folks went to Ecuador to experience life together, speaking lots of Spanish, and learning about Ecuador, Padre Javier’s native country, and dancing on the beach.
The most surprising things about Kate is that she was a professional musician, having worked in Opera, light opera, and various musical companies, as she says, “In her former life.” She has been a professed Third Order Franciscan for 22 years. Kate especially enjoys traveling, singing, dancing, and finding joy in the simple life.

Kathy was born in Kansas, raised in Utah and seminary-educated at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary (GTU) in Berkeley. She was ordained in 1985 in the Lutheran Church and was received as a priest in the Diocese of California in 2001. She joined the staff at Holy Trinity November 2005. Kathy preaches and presides, contributes to the stewardship and adult education programs and occasionally cooks for the local homeless shelter.
Kathy retired from her position at the State Bar of California after 17 years. This has given her time to pursue some of her interests like watching college basketball (go KU), traveling with her partner, Carol, reading, bird watching, cooking (and reading recipe books) and playing computer games.

Currently, John is the Parish Administrator, a member of the FRED (ask us about FRED!) Team, a member of the Worship Team, the OASIS Team, a member of the LAY Committee which provides feedback and support to our Seminarian, a lay Eucharistic Minister, an usher, a Counter non-pariel, Gardening Angel, and lastly (but NOT leastly) a GODLY PLAY (Sunday School) teacher. He also acts as a financial adviser to our Bishop’s Committee. When asked why he does so much, he replies, “It’s all FUN!!”
